The MVT Premium V2 is an updated and improved version of MVT's previous models, offering a combined CDI and ignition coil for easier installation. This inner rotor ignition is specifically designed for Yamaha Aerox models from 2003 onwards, as well as other models with the same engine and catalytic converter.

Features:

• Internal rotor with glow coil: This is the first internal rotor ignition with glow coil, which allows the entire electrical system to be powered with a power of 55 watts. This makes the MVT Premium an excellent alternative to replacing the original ignition, as it maintains the power supply to the lighting and other components.
• Lightweight rotor: The aluminum rotor weighs only 250g, providing improved throttle response and higher RPM, perfect for racing.
• Power Gain: A test setup on a stock Yamaha Aerox increased power from 5.5 hp to 6.5 hp just by switching to this ignition, showing a significant performance improvement. This increase can be even greater when combined with tuning parts.
• Variable ignition curve: The ignition curve is specially adapted for each engine, ensuring optimal performance without the need for adjustment.
• Elimination of CDI restrictions: MVT Premium removes any factory-installed RPM restrictions, allowing your moped to achieve higher performance.

Installation:

This ignition uses the same brackets as the original ignition and is delivered ready for installation. The ignition requires a charged 12V battery to function, and installation is simplified by clear wiring instructions:

• Stator connections:
  • Yellow: Light
  • White: Battery charging
  • Yellow/Green: Ground (grounded at the coil mount)
  • Red/Black: Connects to red/black on MVT CDI
    
    
• CDI connections:
  • Red/Black: Connects to red/black from the stator
  • Brown: Connects to +12V ignition current for CDI power

Heat management:

The MVT Premium generates a significant amount of heat during operation. To ensure optimal cooling, it is recommended to improve airflow around the ignition plate and rotor by drilling ventilation holes in the housing. Five 8mm diameter holes in the top and bottom of the housing should be sufficient to promote air circulation and prevent overheating.
